PRINTING AND CAR DEALERS

Every successful owner of car dealership knows how right advertising can increase the sales in big extent. Therefor is important to be aware of available marketing budget.
Instead of giving away a lot of money for expensive radio and TV commercials or sending countless number of e-mails to every human being in this country, you can always contact a printing company of your preference and as little as following day have your advertising material ready.
What is that you can expect from printing material? You can promote every sales action that you plan on having by printing outdoor vinyl banners choosing carefully the size, font and colors in order to achieve the best possible visibility. Vinyl as material is made to resist all weather conditions and can last for a long time. With proper handling and storage you can reuse it on and on. By adding a wind slits while ordering your banner you reduce the possibility of damage.
Also, you can place the indoor banners (hanged or on banner stands) in your show room and pass your message to the customers. Along with banners you can advertise your business on flyers, posters or billboards as well.

PRINTING COMPANIES AND HALLOWEEN GO HAND IN HAND

Halloween is just around the corner, and children and adults all over the country will be getting into the spirit of things. With the costumes, candy, carved pumpkins, and trick or treating, it can be a lot of fun, but it can also be a great time of year for a not-for-profit to do some fundraising by setting up a haunted house, and a printing company can help.
A haunted house can be as simple or elaborate as your budget and the creativity of its volunteers helpers allow. Depending on the age of the visitors it hopes to attract, it can be a mildly spooky or downright scary. One for small children can use a poster printing company to create specially designed decorations full of jack-o’-lanterns, creepy but cute black cats, spiders, and bats. It can also print simple coloring books for each guest to take home.
If the crowd is expected to be more adult, there may need to be more of a balance between fun and frights. There are lots of techniques that can be found online to create elements of a haunted house, and many of these are surprisingly simple and affordable. A company that provides printing services can create a wide range of promotional materials to advertise it to the local community, as well as tickets, banners, and signs. This can all be done at a price that will ensure the fund raising efforts are a success.
When it comes to a not-for-profit enterprise, a print company won’t be a scare this Halloween.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Labor Day is a holiday in the United States that is dedicated to workers across the country. The intention of the holiday is to recognize the contributions that laborers make to the United States as a whole. The public holiday always falls on the first Monday in September.
Recognition of the workers was inspired by the labor movement and Canada’s observation of labor festivals. The first federal observation of the holiday occurred in 1894 however the first Labor Day observed in a state was in Oregon in 1887.
Parades and festivals are held on Labor Day to give people the opportunity to relax and enjoy the day before returning to work. In many towns and cities, fireworks signal the end of festivals that are held in honor of the holiday.
Because Labor Day falls on a Monday and is held near the end of the summer season, many workers are given the opportunity to take a long weekend that ends with Labor Day. Common activities include picnics, barbecues, and swimming. Many Americans view the  long Labor Day weekend as an opportunity to have one last chance for summer fun before the weather starts to turn cold.
Non-essential federal employees and schoolchildren are given the holiday off. There is no delivery of mail, but most businesses choose to stay open for Labor Day.
Most grade schools in the United States now begin school prior to the Labor Day holiday and, by including the Friday before Labor Day, allow students to have a four-day weekend. In past years, school did not begin until the Labor Day holiday was over, however, many schools now start as early as the beginning of August so the Labor Day long weekend is the first opportunity for schoolchildren to have a break during the school year.

EASING HOSPITAL STAYS WITH THE HELP OF PRINT

Easing hospital stays with the help of print

No one likes spending time in the hospital, and for a child, it can be a very scary prospect. Apprehension about the different medical procedures they may experience, nervousness about being away from home, and just plain fear of the unknown can make it a very difficult time. Fortunately, there are many things that can be done to help make it a little bit easier, and a printing company can help.
One way that a visit to a hospital can be made more comfortable is by providing a distraction. A stationery printing firm can create coloring sheets, picture booklets, and other items that can be provided to families that visit the facilities. Older children and teens may appreciate materials that better explain why they need medical care, the procedures that they might have, and why they need them. This can help to alleviate fear of the unknown.
Poster printing businesses can also make a difference by creating an assortment of decorative items for use in the halls, patient rooms, and treatment and waiting areas. These can be colorful and cheery and bring a touch of brightness to the décor that can otherwise seem very cold and clinical. They can even do “double duty” by including information and reminders about the policies and procedures for those visiting the building to follow.
Ask any parent and they will tell you that going to the hospital for care can be a traumatic experience for a child, but with the help of a print company, it can be made a whole lot easier.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL TIME MADE EASY THROUGH PRINT

September is nearly here, and that means that it’s time for kids from all across the country to head back to their studies. For the youngest, this will mean their first day of kindergarten, which can sometimes feel overwhelming and a little bit scary. A teacher can do a lot to make the process easier for them, and a printing company can help.
A classroom that is brightly decorated with posters and other items can feel a lot more welcoming to a child, and a school can use the services of a poster printing company to create ones that have been custom designed to suit their exact needs. This can be surprisingly inexpensive, and can be carried out quickly and easily.
Another part of starting school that can be difficult for many children is finding their way around what can seem like a huge building. Using signage throughout the halls and classrooms can help them to know where they are going, and if it uses pictures that are fun and catch the eye, they will work even if the student can’t read the words on them yet.
Another way that the educators can help the children to settle in well is to have plenty of communication with the parents or caregivers. A firm that provides business card printing services will be able to make ones that the teachers can give out, providing their contact information on them for each child to take home.
Fall means the start of school, and a print company can help to make it a wonderful time in a young person’s life, and one they will look back on fondly.

HOW PRINTING HAS GONE GREEN WITH RECYCLED PAPER

With America becoming an increasing green-minded country, the printing industry has moved with it and has become more and more determined to be environmentally sound in recent years. The number of print companies now using recycled paper has seen the overall cost of it decrease, meaning that the idea that green printing can be very expensive is something of a myth.
Paper can be recycled numerous times, although six is often the limit before the fibers break down are unable to make a material of a good standard. There are different grades of quality even among types of recycled paper, however, so companies and individuals using them should consider the job at hand and perhaps ask their printing company for advice.
As part of the process of reusing paper, a non-bleach detergent is used to remove the ink from the page through a process that has been referred to as "scooping” it off the surface. Following this, the paper is broken down into pulp and fibers and used again.
Most printing companies now have standards for environmental sustainability. This not only includes using recycled papers, but also recycling any leftover paper they have, as well as using vegetable-based inks and disposing of any hazardous chemicals in a safe and recommended manner. Many of these standards, especially when it comes to paper, have been developed with the help and advice of the Forest Stewardship Council. Professional printing companies will be happy to brief customers on their environmental policies and what they do to be resourceful.

HOW CAN THE PRINT INDUSTRY HELP A GIVING SOCIETY?

How can the print industry help a giving society?

A recent study has shown that, when it comes to helping those in need, those in the USA are among the most generous in the world.
The 2014 World Giving Index, which is compiled with data from 135 nations by the Charities Aid Foundation, puts the U.S. in joint first place along with Myanmar. The index measures the percentage of those who help strangers, donate each month, and give up their time as a volunteer.
The U.S. was the only country that took first place in all the categories and, at 64%, it’s an increase since the last time the index was created. This is good news for the non-profit groups who depend upon the public’s generosity to meet their fundraising goals, and print companies have a big part to play as well.
Part of what can make a charity event a success is using effective promotional materials. These can be provided by a print company at a price that will not take too big a bite out of its fundraising budget.
There are many others ways that printing companies can lend a hand, such as producing event decorations like banners and signage, as well as announcements, invitations, pledge sheets, and even T-shirts and race bibs for events like fun runs or walkathons.
The results of the survey certainly reflect well on the country and, through the help of many different players, including printing firms, its residents can continue to help those in need.

HOW THE FOOD SERVICE INDUSTRY USES PRINT TO MEET CONSUMER DEMAND

With more and more food chains developing ideas that will allow their franchise to capture a part of the growing demand for offsite catering and food delivery, the National Restaurant Association has said that doing so can lead to an increase in sales revenue to in excess of 10%.
The success of these ventures depends upon a variety of factors, with one of the most important being appropriate packaging and other paper goods. In this situation, print companies have a major role to play.
When customers call or otherwise send in their orders, they will want to have their selections arrive at the correct temperature and in containers that are both strong yet eco-conscious. They also want to feel that they are getting good value for their money, and that their business matters.
This is an area in which printed materials can make a big difference. Menus can be included with each order, which will keep the restaurant in the mind of the consumer the next time they need food delivered. Another way that print companies can help to increase sales is to prepare small customized promotional items such bulk-mailed flyers, coupons, and business cards. Those specializing in stationery printing, meanwhile, can assist in the products of presentation folders, letterheads, and fridge magnets.
As the food service industry adapts to meet the changing market demands, the printing industry is changing in sync with them. This will help to ensure the overall long-term success of such ventures.

HOW PRINTING CAN HELP TOURISM INDUSTRY

How printing can aid the tourism industry

Booking site Hotels Combined recently conducted a study to find out which states in the U.S. are the most popular for domestic tourists, perhaps giving those in the vacation sector a better idea of some of the themes to consult with brochure printers for their promotional materials.
In total, 87,000 hotel bookings were reviewed to find out which places were the most popular, and California, Florida, Nevada, and Texas took the top four spots, with New York coming in fifth.
Tourism organizations in those states that have warm climates can emphasize this to their advantage. They can ensure that brochure and catalog printing service providers can include plenty of information about their weather tendencies in the materials they create. These will no doubt be very attractive to those looking to spend some time in the sun.
For those states that have a more northerly climate, designing promotional materials that emphasize a vacation experience that’s out of the ordinary can be very effective. Also, while many like to seek the warmth as a break from the winter’s cold, they do not enjoy stifling heat. The northern states can offer their visitors a chance to enjoy summer fun in the great outdoors at a comfortable temperature.
Choosing the right time to have promotional items printed by a printing company and then sent out is vital. Those looking to plan their summer vacation often like to start to make their plans in the spring, while those looking for a warm weather winter getaway would be more responsive in the fall and early winter.

HOW PRINT CAN HELP A COMPANY NAME CHANGE?

When a company rebrands, the name is not usually the only thing that changes. Often, the logo of the company is the most important change that happens. Companies become known for their brand and many recognize the company just by looking at the logo. Therefore, one of the most important things a rebranding company can do is work closely with a professional print company to help them portray a fresh and competent image.
A logo change can be a large-scale operation - it has to be changed in all company stationery, all the building signs have to be changed to reflect the new name and logo, any company vehicles have to be repainted to feature the new name, and all digital business cards for all employees have to be reordered from local printing companies.
When a company’s brand is already well-known, it is of paramount importance that current customers are reassured that they will receive the same level of customer service and quality products they have been used to. With the help of locally-based print services, a professional and aesthetically pleasing new image can only help customer confidence in that respect.
For companies changing their name, there is always a reasonable amount of time in which they can let their customers and stock holders know that it is happening. This can be done by either sending out a mass mailing in the form of a flyer provided by a local printing company or by calling each person personally and letting them know about the upcoming changes. This should guarantee that no customers are left uninformed of the change.

HOW PRINTING SPEAKS VOUME?

One of the main reasons people choose to consult a professional printing company when they require such services as banner, poster, and flyer printing is because of the speed and efficiency with which large amounts of printed material can be produced. For an individual to mass produce their own printed items would require them to buy their own supplies of paper, ink, card, laminating pouches, and the like. This could be an expensive and time-consuming exercise, and the end product will still lack the quality of a professional printer’s output.
Believe it or not, mass production has been possible in the printing and publishing industry for over 500 years. The invention of the printing press, originally roughly seven feet tall and long, meant that Western Europe had produced nearly twenty million books by the beginning of the 16th century. The early Gutenberg-style, hand-operated press could produce around four printed pages per minute – an impressive rate for the time, but a far cry from the 100 or more per minute capable of being produced by leading printers today.
With 3D printing very much one of the buzzwords in the print industry today, arguably the main stumbling block of introducing this at present is that it is a comparatively slow process, making mass production not possible in the same way as it is with traditional print services. Since the technique involves melting materials and dispensing them via a nozzle, or fusing minute particles together via a laser, it is not a process that can currently be carried out quickly or in high volumes.
However, the process – quite literally – adds another dimension to printing and, though still in its infancy, demonstrates the amazing versatility of the industry.

WHY PRINT POWERS FORWARD IN AN ONLINE WORLD?

Most major newspapers have an online presence, as do most major news magazines. However, all publishers are aware that their printed media is still the backbone of their output. While the majority of Americans have Internet access and regularly go online, according to an article in Digital Trends from earlier this year, 20% still do not use the Internet and rely entirely on print. Of the 80% who do have Internet access, many still use a dialup connection, which is too slow for reading some news sources online.
Even among those who spend a lot of time on the web, many will say that they prefer to read offline, citing that reading online hurts their eyes or that it is uncomfortable for them. Others find it easier to save articles that they read on online sources – safe in the knowledge that they can print it out and store it somewhere, minimizing the risk of lost data due to a computer crash.
In terms of marketing, print media is still the most effective form of advertising, which explains why printing companies remain in heavy demand. Flyers, for example, are most often mailed directly to homes and looked at by at least one person in each household. However, it is also important that those who design the flyers link them to their online sites. Along with address and telephone number, a flyer should also contain a website address and social media links for those who prefer to do business online.

HOW SENDING GREETING CARDS CAN HELP YOUR BUSINESS?

Thinking about greeting cards conjures up images of cute birthday cards sent to friends and family members, Christmas cards sent to acquaintances, and Mother's Day cards. However, businesses also often send greeting cards to customers and to clients.
The types of cards sent by businesses can include holiday cards, cards to give thanks for past business, invitations to upcoming receptions or company events, customer retention cards asking those who have done business with the company in the past to visit them again, or even cards sent out to remind a customer or patient of an upcoming appointment. Most printing companies can provide all the kinds of greeting cards that are required by business.
In order to make the most of sending greeting cards, cards produced should be personalized to the person to whom they are being sent. In the case of holiday cards, they should also definitely be hand-signed by the CEO of the company. When a client or customer receives a holiday or a thank you card, it is sure to be shared with the entire company, or at least with management. Those who receive the cards are like to think fondly of the company that sent it and might be more likely to be inclined to do business with them over someone who never contacts them.
Printing companies have a lot of experience in designing and printing greeting cards of all kinds. They can advise on a wide range of issues that may come up, such as paper quality and what to include in the card.

PRINTING SERVICES CAN SUIT ANY PRICE RANGE

In business, the most important thing is the bottom line. All businesses work to some kind of budget, so it is important to get things done as effectively as possible while still keeping an eye on the financial side. This is no different when arranging for commercial printing services. Quality printing is the first priority but there are many ways in which companies can base their printing requests around their budget.
All printing companies can work with their clients to provide the highest-quality product possible within their price range. Businesses should think about the extent to which they need to use color. Letterheads on memos, stationery, and envelopes can be printed in black and white or in full color. Flyers can be vibrant and colorful or kept in simple grayscale, perhaps allowing the color of the paper to be the focus. Colorful business cards are eye-catching, but a well-designed black and white card can be just as effective.
Budget-conscious businesspeople should also consider size. Large, content-packed brochures can certainly be suitable for events and promotions requiring plenty of detail. On the other hand, there are occasions where a smaller brochure can be more practical, especially if being presented to people on the move.
Businesses can also use desktop tools to create and design their flyer or poster themselves, saving it in a format that allows them to send it directly to the printing company to print it out. Whatever the choices, there are many ways in which printing services can be catered around any budget. It may take a little more work on the part of the business but clients are always appreciative of companies who go the extra mile.

MAKING THE MOST OUT OF OUTDOOR ADVERTISING

Now that the warmer weather has arrived in most of the United States and more people are venturing out of their houses, outdoor advertising has become more important than ever.
Some people might instantly picture billboards when they think of outdoor advertising, but they are just a part of it. Outdoor advertising obtained from printing companies can also include posters, banners, and signs. Regardless of the advertising format, however, there are several rules that should be followed to ensure that a company’s efforts will be noticed and lead to success.
For starters, most advertising experts will agree that a billboard, banner, or sign should have no more than seven words to be at its most effective. Long paragraphs about a company or service will simply be ignored in the majority of cases. Only one or two compatible fonts should also be used and will help make it easier to read.
As a rule, only images that are directly related to the product or services being advertised should be integrated, and it is vital not to overlook the choice of colors used, especially since those used in the background must make the print stand out and not detract from it.
Another mistake many make with outdoor advertising is to have too much contact information provided. It is important that only one contact is provided on a billboard, banner, or sign to avoid confusion. The message on these items must also be original and not parrot other companies’ campaigns. Local print companies can advise their customers on what should and should not be included on their outdoor advertising.

WHAT A BUSINESS NEEDS TO DO BEFORE DOING COMMERCIAL PRINTING?

What a business needs to do before commercial printing

When a business sends a print request to a commercial printer, it will save them time and money if they know what they want the final product to look like. They should consult with their printing company beforehand so the print firm can understand exactly what the client wants and also their budget - a good print firm will help a company to find the right product at the right price. While any business can do their own printing in-house there are times when a professional is necessary, due to large quantities or detailed work.
Before sending items to a printing company it is important that a business knows and understands such things as what files and formatting will be needed by the printer, how many copies are required, what type of paper they want, how large the final print run will be, what type of binding is required, if the final product will be folded, and, of course, need to know the printer's deadlines to get the project finished on time. There is also the choice of color models; does the business want any color, single color, spot colors, process colors or process plus spot colors. It all depends on how they feel their final product will be viewed; color always makes a brochure or a flyer stand out.
Following these procedures will make it entirely possible for a business to create and design the entire print project, just sending the final plans to the print company. However, if they need help their printing company should be there to offer advice.

GREEN PRINTING- CARES ABOUT ENVIROMENT

Switch to green printing to help the environment

'Green printing' is a method of printing that takes the environment into account when deciding on what types of papers to buy and what types of chemicals to avoid. The first place to start to switch to green printing is with the source of the paper. Estimates suggest that 100 million trees are cut down annually to supply fiber for writing and printing paper. Although trees are replanted, this is not done on the same scale. Using recycled paper cuts down on that number by reusing post-consumer content such as paper and fabrics. For example, one alternative to wood pulp is blue jean cotton. Instead of using caustic bleach to whiten papers, manufacturers can use chlorine dioxide. This is the same chlorine used in swimming pools and is less harmful.
When going green, a printing company should also consider the inks that it uses. Soy-based inks are becoming very popular because they let out fewer VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the environment. Print companies can also cut down on the number of colors they use on some works; two can be as effective as three. Pantone color inks are also preferable to metallic based ones.
Companies can also make sure they are following industry standards. Most printing associations have information on these and how to follow them effectively. The last way for a printing company to become green is by keeping up on the latest technology such as water-washable inks and wind energy.
By following the steps above, printing companies will find that they are helping to preserve the environment for the next generation.

DIGITAL PRINTING, YES OR NO?

To go digital or not, that is the question. Changes in one industry often prompt changes in other industries - a process occurring at this very moment. Companies like Heineken and Coca-Cola are offering their customers a chance to design their own packaging to reflect personal interests, an idea that will no doubt have the printing industry taking note.
When a major player like Coke says Sprite drinkers can design can sleeves to match their interests, it will probably only be a matter of time before other companies do the same. How can companies change their packaging so quickly? The answer is digital printing. Many printers are already offering digital business cards, but this is only the start of the possibilities opened up.
It represents a challenge for the printing industry, because packaging has traditionally been done using the offset method. However, digital printing projects can be changed more readily, making them the natural choice for this new type of marketing.
Adding digital capabilities to a traditional print shop means an investment in digital equipment, and some in the industry would like to wait and see if the idea of rapidly changing packaging continues to be used at the current rate. While there are opinions on both sides, the majority opinion seems to be that this is an exciting idea that greatly appeals to consumers and will rapidly enter the mainstream.
Whether they add digital capabilities immediately or not, it would seem prudent that printers at least start researching this trend. Since many printers are now familiar with digital business cards, they will not be forced to ‘start from scratch’ if they choose to expand their offerings.

WHY CHOOSE BANNERS TO ADVERTISE?

When companies are looking to advertise they have many choices to make: do they want to hand out flyers, buy time on the local television and radios stations or create banners to display in various locations? Banner advertising has always been a popular choice in the past and is still so today, largely because banners are one of the most versatile and inexpensive forms of advertising available. The best thing about banner printing is that the banners can be used over and over again with no further cash outlay needed.
There is a whole range of materials used in banner printing such as vinyl, plastic and nylon; some being more durable than others. Banners can be attached to surfaces by pole pockets in which the banner just slides onto a pole, or grommets in which they are attached by rope. Of course, banners can be printed either horizontally or vertically, further enhancing the opportunities for use.
For banners to be most effective there are some rules to adhere to, the most important of which is to keep it simple. A banner should be uncluttered, it should have a bold headline and any images should be vivid and of professional quality. Any points mentioned on the banner should be short and to the point and should contain the business logo and tagline if used for advertising. Make sure the banners have easy to read fonts and use bold colors.
Once the design choices have been made, it is best for a professional printing company to create the banners. With years of experience, a quality print firm can advise on the right type of banner for any purpose.

THE BEST PRINTERS 2015 FOR HOME/OFFICE USE

More often than anything else, we get the question, "What's the best printer for me?" It's a tough question to answer, because it all depends on what you want to do with your printer. Whether you want a high-quality printer, an all-in-one workhorse, a compact photo printer, or a simple single-function inkjet, we've got you covered. We've picked the five printers, across all categories, with the highest CNET rating from the past calendar year to satisfy your curiosity. If you're interested in specific categories, check out our top products lists on the left

Though it's slightly more expensive than competing inkjet workhorses, we recommend the Epson WorkForce 845 for its refined design and Epson's Connect cloud-printing portfolio.

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer

The Epson NX430 "Small-in-One" printer is a solid investment for students and office jockeys who print high-quality photos and documents but don't have the space for a large format device.
